Getting To Know My Body
Thursday, January 1st, 1970
My body is talking and I listen. It wasn't always like that though. As a child I used to have problems with constipation. I would be miserable. Spending hours and hours in the bathroom. I didn't want to eat the things that I needed to eat that would make me feel better such as fruits and vegetables. I was a picky eater and that didn't help my situation. One day I had an episode and I was determined to eat the things I needed to eat so, I could feel better. I was only 12-years-old at the time but, I was sick of being constipated. From than on I included fruits and vegetables in my diet. Even today, if I don't eat fruits and vegetables I will get constipated. Drinking water helps me too. I have also discovered that Vemma helps prevents me from getting constipated and helps me with my energy as well.
When I was 14-years-old I developed this rash on both of the cheeks on my face. The rash was glossy and it itched something terrible. Than it started weeping and bleeding. I would put my face under the shower and let the water run over my face. It felt so good. I started getting this crusty stuff on my face that was forming over the rash. I would rinse it off in the shower and it would come right back. Besides that, it was still weeping and bleeding. I began putting cortaid on the rash. I had to completely stop washing my face. The crusty stuff on my face became like some kind of shell and it looked horrible. I continued to apply the cortaid. The shell started to come off and when it did my face was completely healed.
Last year, I started to get that rash again. I began to panic because I didn't want it to start weeping and bleeding. Before it got too bad I started putting A&D ointment on it and it went away. Even though I had stopped letting the water blast over my face in the shower. I was still scrubbing down my face with soap and water everyday. Who would of thought that I would get something like that just from my face being too dry? My problem was solved. Now, I don't scrub my face down everyday like I used too. Now, I just wet my wash cloth with some warm water and wash it gently and to keep it from getting dry I use a little bit of olive oil, or shea butter.
In the year 2000 I had a horrible case of diarrhea. I had never had it like that before. I was running to the bathroom so much that I couldn't even sleep. I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't eat for three days. I didn't know how I could of kept emptying myself out because there shouldn't of been nothing left for me to dispose of. I looked back on that situation and after reading some natural health books I believed that my colon needed cleaning. So, that's what I am now doing. I haven't had diarrhea since. Thank God! Another problem was solved with a simple solution.
A couple of years ago I was getting excruciating pains in my colon area. So, much so, I was thinking about going to the doctor and I don't really like to go to the doctor. I took a shower to see if it would stop the pain and help me calm my nerves. It didn't do anything at all. I layed down and the pain just kept coming. I decided to go get me a glass of water. As soon as I drank the water my pain completely stopped. I couldn't believe it. I would of never thought I would get pain like that just because I didn't drink enough water.
What really surprised me was that all of the solutions were simple? I was able to pay attention and find out what my body needed. I was truly able to get to know my body. I believe it is going to be a life-long process. I now treat my body as a friend. I can honestly say, I feel much better for it.
